Russian sophiology late XIX-early XX vv.- distinctive and remarkable phenomenon of the world culture. Around him, the debate continues, the severity of which testifies to the enduring relevance raised by Russian sophiologists problems, the most important of which - the ability of Christian civilization to respond to the challenges of time, the need for the unity of humanity in the face of growing global crises, renewal of faith, the search for a new rationality as a cultural value, reasonable dialogue grounds between Western and eastern Christianity, between Christianity and other world religions and national, between different cultures. This collection is made up of papers presented at the international conference 'Russian sophiology in European culture' (Zvenigorod, October 1-5, 2008), organized by the Biblical Theological Institute of St. ap. Andrew and the Institute of the Oriental Churches (Regensburg), with the support of the Catholic Committee for Cultural Collaboration (Rome, Italy).
