Hiroyuki Imaishi directs this Japanese anime. 30 years ago, a series of spontaneous human combustions wiped out half of the Earth's population, with some surviving humans, known as Burnish, evolving to develop skills in pyrokinesis. In the city of Promepolis, Galo Thymos (Kametz) is a member of firefighting organisation Burning Rescue. When they receive reports of attacks by fire-starting terrorist group Mad Burnish, Burning Rescue set out to stop the attacks before it's too late.
