Coming-of-age comedy drama in which a home-schooled teenager insists on trying out public school when he falls for a one-legged girl who attends the local high school. After years of home-schooling and pandering to his mother Claire (Judy Greer)'s yearning for him to be a good, reserved boy, Liam (Daniel Doheny) decides he needs to explore teen life in a real school when a girl catches his eye in a corridor while sitting mandatory exams. Determined to find a way to break out of home-schooling, he purposefully fails his exams to force his unwilling mother to let him become a high school student. Will he handle the social pressures of his new academic life or give in to rebellion to get his dream girl?
