Rinaldo: Glyndebourne (Dantone) (UK-import)
Ottavio Dantone leads the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in this first staging of Handel's opera at Glyndebourne, recorded live in August, 2011. Director Robert Carsen gives the production a contemporary updating, while cast members include Sonia Prina in the title-role, Anett Fritsch as Almirena, Brenda Rae as the Saracen sorceress Armida, and Luca Pisaroni as Argante, the King of Jerusalem.
