Andrea Guarneri Viola 1676, handmade in Germany by master luthier Florian Hertzsch, the Andrea Guarneri viola model is very popular among viola players and thus is copied pretty often. Andrea Guarneri was the grandfather of Guarneri del Gesu and he was taught his craft by Nicolo Amati. He has a reputation notably for his violas. The 1676 viol model features a back length of 16,5'' and thus delivers a strong and powerful tone. Spruce top (Picea abies), back, sides and neck made of flamed maple (Acer pseudoplatanus), ebony fingerboard (Diospyros crassiflora), ebony fittings, homemade antiqued amber-based oil-varnish based on the model of Italian masters, a thin layer of laquer enables the tone-woods to swing freely, traces of wear in the pattern of ancient Italian violins, maximum optimization of sound by final adjustment of soundpost and bridge, length of the back: 422mm / 16,5"", belly stop 225mm, neck stop 141mm, comes with Thomastik Dominant strings, cerificate included, comes with Jakob Winter Viola Shaped Case 51015 CAB.
