In 1977, Canadian-produced SCTV began as a 30-minute sketch show. It ran in syndication in the U.S. for several years. In 1981 it was picked up by NBC in a 90-minute format. It ran for 2 years and was seen by millions of viewers weekly. This first box set covers the first 9 (Cycle 1 as it was referred to in Canada) 90-minute episodes and includes tons of extras.
