It took only 3 days for Deep Purple to record his first album “Shades of Deep Purple” in May 1968. A mixture of original songs and covers rearranged with psychedelic sauce, this album propelled Deep Purple into the ranks of the most influential rock bands on the planet, notably thanks to the success of the hit “Hush”.
