Sin Fronteras/Without Borders (UK-import)
Documentary focusing on the immigrants deported to Mexico after trying to reach the United States. Stationed in the Baja Californian town of Mexicali, the film-makers encounter the undocumented immigrants who are transported across the border at night by the American authorities. In order to help the recently displaced, Mexicali businessman Sergio Tamai established a shelter in an abandoned hotel offering food, shelter and safety to the new arrivals. The feature examines the impact of his work on the migrants and questions what more can be done to help them.
