The film traces Sir Georg Solti's career from his days as Toscanini's assistant at the Salzburg Festival, through to his famous recording of Wagner's 'Ring', culminating in his tenure as Musical Director at both the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
