Combining influences from the emo and math-rock worlds with Fleetwood Mac style dual-vocals, twinkling glockenspiel and large-ensemble indie, Lakes' trademark "Glock-Rock" sound has been making waves since forming back in 2017.The music and attitude of the band draws from Watford's impressive DIY scene which the members grew up immersed in. The band began as Matt and Roberto trading phone demos and ideas and slowly morphed into the six-piece they are today. Lakes sees the members returning to music again with more maturity and passion, and they have come a long way in a short space of time.Their debut album "The Constance LP" was released in 2019, followed by a string of singles in 2020.
