Streetdance 1 And 2 (UK-import)
A double bill of British teen dance dramas. In 'StreetDance' (2010) when Carly (Nichola Burley) and her streetdance crew lose both their leader and their rehearsal space within a short space of time, hope arrives in the unlikely guise of a local ballet school. The school's headmistress, Helena (Charlotte Rampling), offers Carly the use of the school's rehearsal facilities in return for an injection of the streetdance intensity and passion that she finds lacking in her lacklustre classically-trained students. Cultures, egos, talents and temperaments clash as the worlds of streetdance and ballet collide. Whilst in the sequel 'StreetDance 2' (2012), when top street dancer Ash (Falk Hentschel) is laughed off stage by rival American crew Invincible, he resolves to challenge them to the ultimate dance-off. Gathering together the best dancers he can find from around the world, he creates a vibrant fusion of classical and street dance styles. Along the way he loses his heart to Eva (Sofia Boutella), a beautiful salsa dancer. George Sampson returns as Eddie, while dance troupe Flawless reprises its role as dance crew The Surge.
