Film editor, Roger Spottiswoode's directorial debut is a slasher-movie that takes place on a train which a college fraternity have chartered to host a New Year's fancy dress party. However, an ex-fraternity member who has a score to settle has other ideas and the students are trapped on the train as they are picked off one-by-one. The film stars 80's scream-queen Jamie Lee Curtis and Spottiswoode used filmmaker Stanley Kubrick's cinematographer, John Alcott.
