The Book Of Kells (UK-import)
The Book of Kells, an elaborately designed document that holds a place as one of the greatest works of Western art, was made over 1000 years ago on the island of Iona. 600 pages long and intricately rendered, the book was produced around AD 800 by Celtic monks in the style known as Insular art. This documentary, filmed using high-definition film to bring out the lavish detail of the book, explores the myths of the book's origins and its unique history.
