David Lee Fisher directs this remake of the classic German expressionist film from 1920. Mysterious hypnotist Dr. Caligari (Daamen J. Krall) directs a sleepwalking clairvoyant named Cesare (Doug Jones) to commit a murder but when Cesare turns out to be interred in an asylum Caligari is revealed as the institute's director.
