The Chambermaid (UK-import)
Spanish drama from Mexican debut film-maker Lila Avilés. The film follows chambermaid Eve (Gabriela Cartol) as she travails on the 21st floor of a luxury hotel in Mexico City, with aspirations to move up to the 42nd. As a single mother, Eve's long hours mean she rarely sees her son but regularly calls him from the hotel, instead spending her time with her co-workers and the hotel's guests as she goes about her daily duties.
