The Iron Rose (UK-import)
This is one of Jean Rollin' s rarest films. Centred on a young couple who move seemingly aimlessly from chasing each other around a deserted railway siding to a huge, equally deserted, graveyard. Here they descend into a dark tomb to make love and emerge into the darkness where they become lost in the dark, labyrinthine pathways of the endless graveyard. The young lovers frantically try to escape but hysteria slowly overwhelms them and one by one they succumb to death and, in turn, become one with the dead. The Iron Rose stars a young and beautiful Françoise Pascal (There's a Girl in My Soup, School For Sex, My Your Language (TV Series), and Hugues Quester (Three Colours Blue).
