A Parisian police commisioner sets out to track down a deadly sniper in this French crime thriller directed by Michele Placido. Acting on information received, armed police led by high-ranking police chief Mattei (Daniel Auteuil) lie in wait to intercept a gang of armed bank robbers responsible for a spate of robberies over the past two years. But just as the cops are ready to pounce, their numbers are decimated when they come under fire from sniper Vincent Kaminski (Mathieu Kassovitz), stationed on a nearby roof. After escaping and being forced to hole up at the house of a crooked and strangely disturbing doctor, Franck (Olivier Gourmet), the gang soon find themselves hounded by Mattei who has made it his personal mission to bring them and their sniper to justice.
