Horror in which a mother and daughter must fight for their lives after an accident sees them stranded on an empty road. Suffering a strained relationship with her daughter due to her addiction problems, Kathy (Zoe Kazan) decides that the best thing for her daughter's welfare is to take her to live with her father. Driving through the night, their journey turns deadly when Kathy hits a wolf, crashing her car. Her daughter, Lizzy (Ella Ballentine), calls 911 but it will be some time before the emergency services can make it out to them so they must bide their time in the damaged vehicle. When a mechanic finally arrives to help attend to their car, they are perplexed when he suddenly disappears. Getting out to investigate, Kathy also discovers that the dead wolf has also vanished and that something sinister may be afoot. When a grotesque beast suddenly emerges and begins to terrorise them, will they escape it alive?
