Philip Ridley writes and directs this horror set in the American Midwest during the 1950s. Eight-year-old Seth (Jeremy Cooper) imagines that a strange black-clad English woman (Lindsay Duncan) is a vampire. When local children are murdered, including Seth's friend - who he believes to be an earthbound angel - the boy suspects the mysterious woman, but his father is accused of being the killer.
