1950s German fantasy adventure. Set in a surreal fantasy land, when a prince (Eckart Dux) asks for the hand of a beautiful princess (Christel Bodenstein) she rejects his gift of pebbles and demands instead a magical tree. The prince searches long and hard for such a tree and, in the land of an evil dwarf (Richard Krüger), he finds it. However, the dwarf allows the prince to take the tree on one condition: he must win her affection or she will be turned into a bear.
