The Stephen Roche Story - A Cycling Triple Champion (UK-import)
A two-volume documentary profile of the Irish cycling champion, Stephen Roche. In 1987, Roche became the first rider to equal Eddy Merck's record, set in 1974, of winning the three most prestigious races - the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France and the UCI World Championships - in one year. Disc one traces Roche's rise to fame, from the early years winning junior titles, through to the successes of his professional career. Disc two is a review of his exploits during the 1987 Tour de France, when against all odds, he swept to victory on the final day.
