Faye Dunaway stars as the eponymous character in this classic drama directed by Michael Winner. When moralless Barbara (Dunaway) seduces and marries her sister Caroline (Glynis Barber)'s fiancé Sir Ralph Skelton (Denholm Elliott), she quickly takes to her new wealthy lifestyle but soon gets bored. Turning to highway robbery to fill her days, the now Lady Barbara must work to conceal her identity for as long as possible if she is to continue her evening escapades.
