The Woman In Black/The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death (UK-import)
Double bill of supernatural horrors based on the novel by Susan Hill. In 'The Woman in Black' (2012), Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) leaves his son (Misha Handley) behind in London to head off on an assignment to a remote village, but has little idea of what lies in store for him. Once there, Arthur discovers that the locals live in such fear of a mysterious figure known as the 'Woman in Black' that they keep their children locked away indoors, afraid that contact with the woman would harm them. Arthur's investigations lead him to believe that the woman is a ghost, haunted by her inability to save her son from drowning. When she turns her attention towards Arthur's own son, the lawyer is forced to confront the spectre head on. In the sequel 'The Woman in Black: Angel of Death' (2014), set 40-years later, a group of schoolchildren are evacuated from London during the blitz, accompanied by their young teacher Eve Parkins (Phoebe Fox). When the group arrives in the idyllic English countryside, they soon learn of the dark spirit that has long lain dormant in the Eel Marsh House. One by one the children begin to demonstrate strange behaviour and unexplainable happenings occur in their isolated home. Will Eve, with the help of the military, be strong enough to repel the ghostly woman bent on destruction and revenge for the loss of her son?
