Laurent Cantet co-writes and directs this French drama. During their summer break, a group of teens from the coastal town of La Ciotat attend a creative writing workshop moderated by acclaimed author Olivia Dejazet (Marina Foïs). There, they are tasked with jointly writing a novel set in their hometown. Antoine (Matthieu Lucci) quickly emerges as the leading creative voice amongst the group. However, his dominance and controversial ideas quickly create problems amongst his peers, particularly for Muslim Malika (Warda Rammach), as they struggle to reconcile their disparate opinions.
