Toshiaki Toyoda: The Early Years (UK-import)
Triple bill of cult Japanese features directed by Toshiaki Toyoda. His debut feature 'Pornostar' (1998) follows troubled youngster Arano (Koji Chihara) as he goes on a vengeful killing spree against the Yakuza in Tokyo. 'Unchain' (2000) is a documentary about the boxer Unchain Kaji and follows him as he tries to start a new life outside of the ring. In '9 Souls' (2003) nine dangerous convicts escape from prison and go on a mission to find a stash of counterfeit cash they've heard stories about on the inside.
