"Uña y carne", or the fusional relationship between two inseparable entities, Chicuelo and his guitar!Juan Gómez "Chicuelo" was born in 1968 in Barcelona, a city with a long flamenco tradition due to strong Andalusian immigration. At a very young age, hestarted with traditional flamenco singing before choosing the guitar. Hence the intensity of his relationship with the young generation of Catalan "cantaores": he has been recording since 1994 with Mayte Martín, then regularly performs with Duquende and Miguel Poveda with whom he produces several albums. This is enough to satisfy his passion for cante: "That's why there is little singing in my records... and because they are guitar records ". Passionate about music in all its forms, he collaborates with musicians from all horizons, including the collaboration with the Pakistani singer Faiz Ali Faiz for the incredible "Qawwali Flamenco", released in 2013 on the label Accords Croisés.
