RARE COVER VERSIONS & OBSCURE DUETS Despite all members of Queen being superb songwriters and composers during their glory years, they were never afraid nor reluctant to wear their musical tastes on their collective sleeves, and in so doing perform the songs of others. These, more often than not, would feature in concerts they played during this era. But never feature on their studio albums. Equally, the band would often duet with other musicians and vocalists, and the list of such includes David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Paul Young, Rick Parfitt from Status Quo, and even Liza Minelli. This new CD features both cover versions that Queen performed during their tenure, as well as a number of featured duets with other performers. Also as a special bonus, included here too is a rare track recorded in concert by Freddie Mercury’s late 1960s group, Ibex, who performed a version of the Beatles’ ‘Rain’ during one of their very few concerts.
