Master fellwalker Alfred Wainwright takes Eric Robson on the 190-mile Coast to Coast Walk that he devised in 1972. The route takes in St Bees Head to Haweswater, Shap Abbey to Keld, Gunnerside to Danby Wiske and Mount Grace Priory to Robin Hood's Bay, and traverses what Wainwright describes as 'the grandest territory in the North of England'.
