Historical documentary on the Wars of the Roses which raged across England from 1455-1485. The programme tells the story of the calamitous feud between the Houses of York and Lancaster which led to the bloody conflict and finally ended with the death of Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth. Historians and scholars provide analysis and perspective, accompanied by reconstructions and CGI animation showing the movements and battle plans of each army. The narration is compiled from the contemporary accounts of soldiers, statesmen, courtiers and scribes.
