Japanese animated adventure directed by Makoto Shinkai. When Hodaka Morishima (voice of Kotaro Daigo) runs away from school, he relocates to Tokyo in search of a better life. After a severe rainstorm threatens to capsize the ferry on which he is travelling, his life is saved by a mysterious man. When more bad weather comes to Tokyo, Hodaka meets the niece of the mysterious man whom he learns has the power to control the weather.
